Instructions
- In a medium bowl or a large zip-top bag, whisk together all the marinade ingredients: balsamic vinegar, olive oil, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Add the chicken breasts to the marinade and turn to coat them completely. Cover the bowl or seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for maximum flavor.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400-450°F). Make sure the grates are clean and lightly oiled.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting the excess drip off. Discard the leftover marinade. Place the chicken on the preheated grill.
- Grill for 6-8 minutes on each side, until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Transfer the chicken to a plate and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Resting is Key: Don't skip the resting step! It allows the juices to settle, ensuring a moist and tender piece of chicken.
Check Temperature: For best results, use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken is cooked to a safe 165°F without overcooking.
Storage: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
