- Thaw shrimp if frozen. Pat completely dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and optional red pepper flakes. Cook for 30-60 seconds until fragrant, stirring constantly.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 1-2 minutes per side, until pink, opaque, and curled into a 'C' shape.
- Remove the skillet from the heat. Stir in the fresh lemon juice and chopped parsley. Toss to combine and serve immediately.
Notes
Do Not Overcook: Shrimp cook very quickly. Watch them closely and remove them from the heat as soon as they are pink and opaque.
