Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel, place them on the baking sheet, and season with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, and soy sauce until fully combined.
- Spoon the maple dijon glaze evenly over the top of the salmon fillets, ensuring each is well-coated.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fillets. The salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork or reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). For extra caramelization, broil for the last 1-2 minutes, watching closely.
- Remove the salmon from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
Notes
Tip 1: For easy cleanup, don't skip the parchment paper!
Tip 2: The cook time is an estimate. Thinner fillets may cook in as little as 10-12 minutes, while very thick ones might need up to 18. Check for doneness early to avoid overcooking.
Tip 3: Reserve a tablespoon of the glaze (before it touches the raw fish) to drizzle over the cooked salmon for an extra pop of flavor.
