Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves.
- In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, eggs, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until everything is smooth and fully combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix with a rubber spatula until just combined. Do not overmix; a few small lumps are okay.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes. To check for doneness, insert a toothpick or wooden skewer into the center of the loaf. It should come out clean or with a few moist crumbs attached.
- Let the bread cool in the pan on a wire rack for 15 minutes. Then, carefully remove the loaf from the pan and let it cool completely on the wire rack before slicing and serving.
Notes
For best results, make sure your spices are fresh for the most vibrant flavor.
Feel free to add 1 cup of chocolate chips or chopped nuts to the batter for extra texture and flavor.
The bread is even more moist and flavorful the next day!
