- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange pretzels in a single, tight layer.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat. Bring to a boil, stirring, then let it boil for exactly 3 minutes without stirring.
- Immediately pour the hot caramel over the pretzels and spread evenly. Bake for 5 minutes.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot caramel. Let them sit for 3-5 minutes to melt, then spread into a smooth layer. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
- Allow to cool at room temperature for 10 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm. Break into pieces and serve.
